Green & Dreamy Baby Shower

Back in the fall, I had a special opportunity to help Meagan - a dear friend of mine - with the planning and decor for her baby shower. Meagan's vision for her shower was simple, she wanted plenty of greenery with light, neutral tones. Meagan is the sweetest, so I was beyond excited to help with the celebration and provide a few special touches for her happiest day!

Meagan's shower was held at a favorite local restaurant, Flaherty's in our hometown in Macedon, NY. Flaherty's has a beautiful new party room that turned out to be a great space for hosting the shower. The food was delicious, but the company was even better. Family and friends gathered from near and far to celebrate Meg and her baby on the way (her sister even traveled from California to surprise her!).

This tulle skirt adds a "dreamy" touch to any event, and it turned out perfectly for the mimosa bar! The bar was located in the back of the room but drew people right over as they entered the shower (perhaps the champagne is what drew the guest over, but the skirt looked beautiful). I also created a special garland with hanging onesie cutouts and eucalyptus.

Who doesn't love looking at baby photos, especially at a baby shower? Just like the decor, Meagan wanted to keep the shower games light and simple. The guests huddled around this table, adoring baby Meg and Aaron and guessing their ages. It was tough to pick her favorite photos after reminiscing and laughing for hours. I attached the photos with a clothespin that had a handmade number on each one. The chicken wire board was handmade and was also used as the seating chart for her wedding (can that be any sweeter!?). I added some greens to the top and a little white garland to help the board match with the theme of the shower.

The welcome table really caught your eye as you walked in. The greens accented by the golds really set the tone, and adding a couple vintage mirrors worked perfectly for featuring the shower games. The gold shelf, candlesticks and some more greenery added the right amount of detail to the table.

After everyone enjoyed mimosas, it was time for a delicious brunch! I added the gold hoops with some lush greens behind the food to continue the simple, neutral feel. Theses hoops are so elegant and whimsical. They look romantic at weddings and are precious for a baby shower!

The favors also acted as a beautiful decor peice for the shower. Meagan's mom planted all of the baby succulents and had them potted and ready to go home with each guest. I created a little "watch me grow" banner for each jar. The old ladder, white pumpkins and dried baby's breath added a seasonal, harvest touch to the surrounding dreamy greens.

What a beautiful shower for a beautiful friend! Cooper is one lucky boy to have you for his mother.

Fast forward a few months later and Copper is here, cute as can be!

I would love to help with your shower or happiest day. You can rent many of the items used for this shower at Happiest Day. I can also create custom pieces to make your day extra special. Let's start planning!
